Comments:
This project consisted of 2 levels of structural steel framing at floors with metal deck, structural steel framing at the roof with metal deck, 3 metal pan stair towers with railings and additional miscellaneous metal items. By the use of the Design Build Process we were able to incorporate a cost effective design with the use of moment frames to eliminate all interior braced bays, which would have interfered with the tenants requirements. Shepard Steel was able to improve upon the design, detailing and fabrication cycle by several weeks and was still able to complete the project within the original budget.
